Smart glasses and other emerging devices are also part of the strategy, with Zuckerberg expecting the company's software and hardware efforts to become more integrated over the coming years.
Meta reported third-quarter revenue of $64.6 billion, exceeding analyst expectations of $63.37 billion. Adjusted earnings reached $7.40 per share, above the forecast of $5.74. The company projected fourth-quarter revenue of $73 billion to $76 billion.
Meta increased its 2026 expense outlook to between $175 billion and $179 billion, compared with its earlier estimate of $165 billion to $169 billion. Zuckerberg characterized AI and hardware development as long-term investments, emphasizing the importance of building technology that serves billions of people.
