Privacy policy

domainhunt.si ("DomainHunt", "we") is an independent site that tracks reported sales of .si domain names and lists .si domains offered for sale. You can reach us at hello@domainhunt.si.

• Usage events. When a listing is shown on screen or you click a "Buy" / "Make offer" button, we record the domain, which part of the page it was on, your country (from your connection), the referring page and an anonymous visitor ID.
• Anonymous visitor ID. A one-way hash of your IP address, browser user-agent and the current date, mixed with a secret value. It changes every day and cannot be turned back into your IP address. We use it only to count unique visitors.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP address, user-agent and requested URL to deliver and protect the site.
• Emails you send us. If you write to hello@domainhunt.si, we receive your email address and message.

We do not collect names, passwords or payment details. Purchases happen on the marketplace you are sent to (for example Atom or Spaceship), under that marketplace's own privacy policy.

• To run the site and keep it secure.
• To understand which listings and pages are useful (aggregate counts only).
• To reply to your messages.

Sales data shown on the site (domain, price, date, marketplace) is collected from public sources and seller reports. It describes domain transactions, not visitors.

By default we set no cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites.

If you click Accept in the cookie banner, we also load Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure how the site is used (IP addresses are anonymised). If you click Decline, Google Analytics is never loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage; clear it to see the banner again. Our security provider may set strictly necessary cookies to check that a request comes from a real browser.

• Cloudflare: hosting, security, cookieless web analytics, analytics storage and email forwarding.
• Google Analytics: only if you accept cookies.
• Supabase: database for sales and listings data.
• Buffer and X: we publish public sale announcements on X. No visitor data is shared with them.

These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside your country.

Usage events are kept for up to 90 days. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Server logs are kept by Cloudflare according to its own retention policy.

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to its use. Because usage events are anonymous, we usually cannot link them back to you. If a sale record or listing concerns you and you want it corrected or removed, email us and we will look into it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
