US President Donald Trump said he will ban the term "artificial intelligence" in official documents and elsewhere, according to Reuters, pushing instead for his preferred name, super intelligence.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump asked when The Wall Street Journal would start calling AI, which he described as "a very bad and inaccurate name", SI (Super Intelligence), "the name which virtually everyone else is using, or soon will be."

He added that "in short order" his administration will officially ban the term "AI/Artificial Intelligence" in all relevant documents "due to its inaccuracy."

The statement follows the administration's earlier moves to adopt the super intelligence terminology across federal agencies, including the Justice Department and NASA.
